TNGO state president, Mr K. Swamy Goud has hinted at a second phase of non-cooperation by government employees in May. He said this while addressing the newly-elected office bearers of Warangal unit of Telangana Commercial Taxes Non-Gazetted Officers’ (TCTNGO) Central Association on Saturday.
The meeting, which continued for six hours, was attended by a large number of state and district-level employee leaders including Mr G. Devi Prasad, co-convenor of Telangana Emp-loyees’ JAC, Mr B Shyam, president TCTNGO. “The next non-cooperation would have participation by 25 lakh government and private employees in Telangana,” he said.
Mr Goud said that the non-cooperation call off decision was taken after taking into account the likely impact on census operations, fate of Intermediate students including old age pensioners, PDS beneficiaries and retired government pensioners. Though Mr Goud termed the employees’ non-cooperation as effective in forcing the government to concede their secondary demands.
